Jensen Ford scores a pair of Top-10 finishes with Southern All Stars

Jensen Ford visited Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) on Friday night to compete in the Super and Crate Late Model ranks for the King of the Mountain Championship. In a field of 34 Southern All Star Series entries, Ford secured his spot into the $3,000-to-win A-Main with the third fastest time in his qualifying group. For the American Crate All-Star Series sanctioned event, Jensen followed up the fourth fastest lap in time trials with a third place finish in the Dash. With $2,000 on the line in the feature, Ford held his spot for all 30 laps to finish third behind Carder Miller and Matt Henderson with Eli Beets and Jake Teague rounding out the Top-5.

The following night, Ford posted a third place in his heat, which positioned him 11th on the starting grid for the $7,000-to-win finale. Coming one spot shy of a Top-5 finish, Jensen clawed forward five spots in the 50-lapper to place sixth.

In the Crate ranks, Jensen locked his spot into the main event with the seventh fastest time overall. Rolling off sixth, Ford slipped back to a 12th place outing.
