Podium finish in Spring Nationals stop at Crossville Speedway

Friday night saw Jensen Ford return with the Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals at Crossville Speedway (Crossville, Tenn.) for the $4,053 prize. Topping the 29-car field in time trials, Ford locked into the pole position for the opening night feature. Losing two spots in the 40-lap affair, Jensen notched a third-place finish, trailing Dale McDowell and Donald McIntosh to the checkers with Will Roland and Brandon Williams rounding out the Top-5. On Saturday afternoon at Clarksville Speedway (Clarksville, Tenn.), Jensen qualified second fastest in his group but cut down a left-rear tire in his heat. Electing to sit out his B-Main to take a provisional into the $10,053-to-win A-Main, Ford was marching forward until he got caught behind a tangle, ending his night on lap 13.
