Motor issues surface in round three of Bristol Dirt Nationals

After his crew thrashed over the week to get his brand new Whitehead Construction Inc. No. 83 Late Model ready to go, Jensen Ford returned to the dirt-covered Bristol Motor Speedway (Bristol, Tenn.) on Friday evening for the final two rounds of the Bristol Dirt Nationals. With 30 XR Super Series entries on hand, Jensen failed to record a lap in time trials after breaking a right-front shock mount. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the $50,000-to-win A-Main, Ford’s weekend was over after he started losing oil pressure underneath the hood. (Chad Wells photo)
