Ford notches third-place finish with Southern All Stars

Thursday night found Jensen Ford in action at Tri-County Racetrack (Brasstown, N.C.) for the midweek event with the Schaeffer's Spring Nationals. After qualifying 10th-fastest overall in time trials, Ford ran into mechanical issues in the feature that forced him to pull pitside on the seventh circuit.

After the team took Friday night off to regroup, Ford headed to Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) on Saturday for the Southern All Star Series event that he won in 2021. Drawing 28 cars for the annual Rockin' With the Stars, Jensen's fourth-fastest qualifying time positioned him on the second row for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. Clawing forward one spot in the 40-lap affair, Ford notched a third-place finish, which came behind Camaron Marlar and Garrett Smith.
