Jensen Ford competes with LOLMDS at Smoky Mountain

Drawing a stout field of 45 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries, Ford was involved in a tangle in his heat that pinned him on the eighth row for the preliminary feature. With $5,000 on the line, Jensen salvaged a 15th-place outing after dealing with electrical issues.

On Saturday, Jensen followed up an eighth-to-fifth run in his heat race with a 12-lap consolation victory. Starting the $50,000-to-win Mountain Moonshine Classic in 18th, Ford dropped two spots in the 60-lapper to place 20th.
