Ford competes in Mountain Moonshine Classic at Smoky Mountain
After a few weeks off, Jensen Ford returned to the driver's seat of his Parkway Liquor Store No. 83 at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) on Saturday afternoon for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned Mountain Moonshine Classic.
With 44 Late Models in the pit area, Ford qualified sixth-fastest but was early retiree in the 30-lap preliminary feature.
For Saturday's $50,000-to-win finale, Jensen finished fifth in his heat race which relegated him to a B-Main. Receiving a provisional starting spot in the 60-lap feature, Ford recorded a 24th-place outing.
